Hobby horse selection guide

The hobby horse must be suitable for its owner in terms of color, appearance and size. We have a wide selection of hobby horses and ponies, from which we believe that every hobby horse enthusiast will find a suitable riding companion.

Here are some tips for choosing the right one:

A horse or a pony?

The first important step in choosing a hobby horse is to determine what size you want. In our web shop you can find a bigger hobby horse and a smaller pony.

The hobby horse's head fits on an A3 sheet of paper. A hobby horse is great for you who want to take care of and have fun with the hobby horse and not just obstacle jumping, although yes this one is suitable for that too.

The head of a pony can fit on an A4 sheet of paper. It is a small and light mini hobby horse and considerably smaller than a the horse. The pony is also suitable for obstacle jumping and fast running, as the small size and light weight of the pony is an advantage.

What color?

Here you will find a wide range of horses in different colors. The hobby horses are made of short-haired fur using a support fabric.

The marks are sewn on the fabric by hand.

White and light fabrics are naturally more prone to soiling, while dark fabric is more likely to show loose dust.

Some hobby horses have painted shadows. These wear out in use. Dyed hobby horses are also more sensitive to moisture.
